Skjør began life as a duo in 2014 featuring Louise McCraw on guitar and vocals alongside Cameron Bradley on bass with Callum Le Barre and Rebecca Anderson subsequently joining on guitar and drums respectively. The band recorded and self-released their debut EP Nature in November 2015 accompanied by a headline show at Edinburgh’s Electric Circus.
Filmed on 19th March 2016 in a Portobello living room, this acoustic session was premiered by Is This Music? and includes two songs from the Nature EP: Norway, the first track written by the band, and Two Mountains, a piece inspired by love letters written by Mexican painter Frida Khalo. Without Hope and its lyric looking at loss completes the set.
